Casale Il Gabbro
The very first restored farmhouse within the estate, Il Gabbro offers breathtaking views: wonderful sunsets, the lovely town of Casole and the Castello di Casole on top of the hill.
Composed of one main residence with a tower and two guest houses, this magnificent home really exudes authenticity and a link with the past. The large and convivial kitchen includes the old wood stove formerly owned by Visconti, and in the house several pieces of furniture were formerly in the ‘Villa Querceto’ before the restoration converted it into the Castello di Casole.
The majestic hall leading to the first floor has a well where the farmers used to store the grain to bake bread during the winter. The hall and stairs are dominated by an incredible chandelier from Murano, a unique piece created by a Master glass blower for an art exhibition in Venice that was installed in special events all over the world before finding its perfect spot in this home.
